Be the first to visit the Castle and Walled Gardens this year when they reopen on Wednesday 4th March.
On opening day visitors can enjoy FREE Castle upgrades on all Park and Gardens tickets and 10% off in the Stables Café .
The Walled Gardens will be bursting into life as the first of the Spring bulbs emerge.
Castle visitors can marvel at the elaborate crimson and gold interiors of the Octagon Drawing Room, where the décor remains unchanged since the 1800s, and the handsome Victorian Dining Room which was created by William Burn for Duke Henry.
Glimpse behind the scenes of a busy Castle and family home at the Head Housekeeper’s bedroom and the Old Kitchen, which was built in 1360 and remained in continuous use for the next 600 years.
Immerse yourself in history by spending time in the imposing Barons’ Hall, where 700 knights gathered to plot The Rising of the North in 1569.
Raby’s friendly and knowledgeable guides will be on hand to answer your questions and share stories from the Castle’s fascinating past.
From March 4th the Castle and Walled Gardens will be open Wednesday to Sunday until October (Tuesday to Sunday in July and August).
