New for this year – bring your Mother and the rest of the Family for a Mother’s Day to remember with a Tour and Tea in the Castle.
You will be met at the Castle entrance by one of our knowledgable guides who will take you on a Tour of the Castle which will finish in the Grand Entrance Hall where your tea will be served.
The Tour starts at 2:30pm and will last approximately one hour and we would expect the Tea to start at approx. 3:30pm and finish at approx. 5pm.
You will be served a delicious selection of cakes; rich chocolate ganache, spiced carrot and red velvet cakes, French macaroons, freshly made finger sandwiches; sliced gammon ham and mustard, Scottish smoked salmon with cream cheese and wensleydale and caramelised onion chutney, as well as our chocolate chip and cherry scones with clotted cream and preserve, and Cheddar Cheese and sundried tomoat scones for those who might need comehting more savoury. This is all served with freshly brewed tea or coffee.
Why not add some fizz to your afternoon tea – available to order when you book your tickets.
Where possible we will accommodate each booking on their own table, however please note smaller groups may be placed on shared tables.
As part of this ticket you have free of charge access into the Park and Gardens which will be open from 10am so why not arrive a little bit earlier and enjoy a stroll in our 200 acre Deer Park, have a wander around the Walled Gardens or have a browse in the Shop. Please note that the Park, Gardens and Shop will be closed when you finish your Tea.

There is accessible parking available and for those that may not fancy the walk from the car park, we can give you details of the drop off area.
Please note that accessibility inside the Castle is limited due to the historical nature of the building. The Afternoon Tea is served in an accessible area however the Tour will include some stairs to access the upper rooms.
