Outdoor Cinema FAQs
Are seats provided and is it socially distanced?
Our cinema event will be fully compliant with the government restrictions on social distancing. Guests will be spaced out on grass pitches which can seat up to a maximum of 6 people. Pitches will be generously spaced to support social distancing, and to help you keep at a safe distance from others when moving around the cinema area. Guests must stay within their pitch and keep belongings inside the area to ensure social distancing is maintained at all times. Please bring your own picnic rug. We will not be providing seating but you are welcome to bring camping chairs (no more than 6 per pitch, and no deckchairs please).
Is it a drive-in movie?
This is not a drive-in movie. Please park in the car park and walk to the Walled Gardens where you will be directed to our Outdoor Cinema.
Do I need to book in advance?
Tickets can only be booked online in advance of the events, and we advise booking early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are limited for each screening so we can make sure that visitors have a safe, relaxed experience. We will not be selling tickets on the door.
What happens if it rains?
We are hoping for a glorious weekend of weather for you to enjoy the outdoor screenings. If it’s sunny (which we hope it will be) you may wish to bring water, sunglasses, sun cream and a hat.
If rains, the performance will still go ahead so please come prepared with waterproof clothing. Please do not bring umbrellas, gazebos, windbreaks or pop tents as these are not permitted.
Bear in mind that it can turn colder in the evenings so remember to bring warm clothing/blankets with you. No portable heaters or BBQs.
Can I bring my own food & drink?
You are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy during the film screening. Glass and alcohol cannot be brought into the venue. Drinks, snacks and refreshments will be available, including the all-important popcorn and ice cream. When you book tickets you can pre-order food and drinks to collect from the kiosk when you arrive.
Do I need to print my ticket?
When you book your tickets will be emailed to you, and you can either show these on your mobile phone or print them out to show our team when you arrive.
Are dogs allowed?
Sorry – dogs are not allowed at our cinema screenings.
Can I smoke?
Smoking is not permitted in the Walled Gardens – this includes e-cigarettes and vapes.
Will there be toilets at the screenings?
Yes our toilets facilities will be open for our film screenings. The toilets are regularly cleaned and inspected. Please use the hand sanitiser provided on site.
