In celebration of International Women’s Day, this special guided tour of the Castle will focus on the remarkable women who have lived and worked at Raby Castle.
Our tour will explore parts of the Castle not usually open to the public as well as collections and stories that shed light on their lives and achievements.
From the familiar history of Cecily Nevill, known as the ‘Rose of Raby’, to the lesser-known experiences of the women who worked in the household, this surprising tour will put working women, botanists, artists and court influencers under the spotlight, telling their stories at Raby Castle for the first time.
For this weekend only, the Tour will include a special “show and tell” display of items from the collection that relate to the stories covered.
Duration – 2 hours
Numbers limited to 15 people on each Tour
Tickets £25 each
