Whatever your breakfast of choice – a Full English or a bowl of porridge with just a dash<\/em> of cinnamon and brown sugar – we\u2019d love to help you start your day in the best way possible. Our eggs are from High Beverly Farm just a few miles away, and our coffee is from Lonton, a sustainable artisan roaster based in the heart of Teesdale.<\/p>\n

Our Lunch and Dinner menus are constantly changing with the seasons and local specialties; for example, depending on when you visit, you might be able to try Raby Venison of Longhorn Beef. We\u2019re proud to be low on food miles, high on taste and supporting local producers – that\u2019s just the way we do things here.<\/p>\n

The restaurant at the Estate Hotel is fully focused on their menu being as locally sourced as possible, supporting our local communities and keeping our food miles to a minimum.<\/p>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

There is a fantastic food journey story at High Force, from free range hen and duck eggs being sourced from an employee\u2019s own farm just a few miles away, to Raby Venison and Longhorn Beef, sourced from the parkland around Raby Castle. Guests can also enjoy Durham butter, milk and other goods from a local wholesaler, plus coffee from a local artisan coffee roaster and meat from McFarlane\u2019s Family Butchers, based right here in the heart of Teesdale. High Beverley Hens<\/h3>\n

Did you know the fresh eggs we use come from just 4 miles away?<\/p>\n

High Beverley Hens is run by Kathleen & Amy (our very own team members here at High Force Hotel) from the family farm, and what started with just a handful of hens during lockdown has grown into something truly special over the last 6 years.<\/p>\n

Today, the farm is home to around 400 free-range laying hens, producing a beautiful variety of eggs:\u00a0 Brown (Isla Brown),\u00a0 Blue (Cream Legbar), Olive (Olive Eggers), Dark brown (Black Copper Marans),\u00a0 White (White Leghorns), Cream with a pink hue (Light Sussex).<\/p>\n

The farm also have 200 chicks growing, ready to start laying later this year.\u00a0 All of the hens roam freely across the farm\u2019s fields, living just as nature intended.<\/p>\n
