Pre-booked private tours

Pre-booked private tours can be arranged before the Castle opens to the public. Tours last approximately 90 minutes and can be included in the price of your visit.

Pre-tour refreshments

For a memorable start to your tour, we can arrange a reception of tea, coffee and biscuits in the Castle’s majestic entrance hall before it opens to the public.

Self-guided tours

Alternatively,  if you prefer to explore the Castle’s rooms, collections and stories at your own pace, self-guided tours allow you to wander at your leisure, assisted by our helpful guides and the information cards located in each room.

Bespoke tours

If you’re inquisitive about a special area of Raby’s past, we can tailor specific group requests, subject to availability.

Park admission

Spend time in the grounds of Raby Castle. Enjoy walks and trails throughout our 200 acre Deer Park.

Group Park admission is offered at a reduced price for groups of 16 or more.

*All prices incorporate both a discount on adult and concessionary admission.

High Force Waterfall

Also forming part of the wider Raby Estate is High Force, open daily from 10am, which we would encourage all groups to include as part of their visit itinerary.  Located approx. 30 minutes drive from Raby Castle, it is one of the most impressive Waterfalls in England. The River Tees has been plunging into this gorge for thousands of years, but the rocks and history it reveals are far more ancient – with origins dating back over 300 million years.  We have a circular walking route, allowing visitors to explore more of our Estate through our woodlands, with a gate from the viewing platform down to the water’s edge open.

High Force Waterfall is charged at £2.00 per person plus £25.00 Coach Parking.

Also on site is the High Force Hotel, which serves delicious, home-cooked food all day, from breakfast, snacks and lunches right through to evening meals in a relaxed setting – group bookings can be accommodated if you would like to include this in your plans also.

To enquire about any of the above group tours at Raby Castle and High Force, please call our team on 01833 660 202 or email admin@raby.co.uk to pre-book and plan your visit.
