Put on your walking boots, grab a lead and head over to Raby Castle’s Park and Gardens with your four-legged friend(s).
Raby Estates welcomes well-behaved dogs in the Stables Café with free doggy treats and water bowls provided, and you can explore the picturesque 18th century Walled Gardens and 200 acre Park on a lead (for the protection of the herds of red and fallow deer).
For those really muddy four-legged friends there is a covered area in the Coach Yard where you can enjoy takeaway hot and cold drinks with Frozzys healthy frozen yogurt treats for your dogs.
A visit to the Stables Shop is a must where you’ll find our new and exclusive dog range including Wellybix tasty treats which are homemade in Allison’s kitchen in Romaldkirk, a guide to the best dog friendly pubs, hotels and B&B’s and leads and collars by Blossom Co which are made in Britain.
For a change of scene, make sure you visit High Force Hotel and Waterfall in the stunning countryside of Upper Teesdale and situated in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether it’s for a stroll to the falls, Sunday lunch or an overnight stay, dogs are welcome throughout.
Why not join one of Raby Estate’s free monthly dog walks held at Raby Castle and High Force to meet fellow dog owners and explore areas of the Estate not normally open to visitors.
Please note, only assistance dogs are allowed inside the Castle.
