Put on your walking boots, grab a lead and head over to Raby Castle’s Deer Park with your dogs. Situated where we are, you’ll be spoilt for choice for ‘walkies’
Walks
There are plenty of scenic walks across our 200-acre parkland for you and your four-legged friend(s) to explore. Routes feature impressive views of the castle fortress and an abundance of wildlife across our ponds and woodlands. Please note that dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
The Yurt Café
Raby Estates warmly welcomes well-behaved dogs in our Yurt Café, where a selection of doggy treats, including puppuccinos are on sale.
We also have dog water bowl stations dotted around the site… Be sure to paws for a drink during your visit.
The Stables Shop
Your four-legged-friends are also welcomed to browse The Stables Shop with you. Full of quality gifts and homeware, you are always guaranteed to find something unique. From beautiful cards to books, games and foodie treats, there is something for everyone (even the dog).
Please note, only assistance dogs are allowed inside the Castle.
To ensure our little visitors are kept safe, we don’t allow your four-legged friend(s) inside The Plotters’ Forest. However, we warmly welcome dogs in The Deer Park, The Stables Shop and The Yurt Café as long as they are kept on leads.
High Force Hotel and Waterfall
For a change of scene, make sure you visit High Force Hotel and Waterfall in the stunning countryside of Upper Teesdale and situated in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether it’s for a stroll to the falls, Sunday lunch or an overnight stay, dog(s) are welcome throughout.
Charity of the Year
Here at Raby Castle we proudly support our charity of the year, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. You will often see them at our events.
