An Evening Under Some Of England’s Darkest Skies
Stargazing at One of England’s Largest Waterfalls in County Durham
If you are yearning for a magical escape or simply just experiencing something new? A Stargazing Supper at High Force Waterfall in County Durham’s North Pennines National Landscape offers an unforgettable blend of nature, astronomy, and hospitality.
Why High Force Waterfall?
- England’s Darkest Skies: The skies above High Force are some of the darkest in the country, verified by Sky Quality Meter readings.
- Unique Terrain: The surrounding cliffs naturally block out remaining light pollution, creating near-perfect stargazing conditions.
- Rare Sights: From late September to March, you might even catch a rare glimpse of the Northern Lights.
Your evening begins with a delicious 3 course meal in the Garden Room and an insightful presentation. Before heading down to the magnificent High Force Waterfall, where you’ll experience some of the darkest skies in the country, a stargazing expert will guide you through the wonders of the night, uncovering all the magic the night sky has to offer.
