Put on your walking boots, grab a lead and head over to Raby Castle’s Deer Park with your four-legged friend(s).

There are plenty of scenic walks across our 200-acre parkland for you and your dogs to explore. Routes feature impressive views of the castle fortress and an abundance of wildlife across our ponds and woodlands. Please note dogs must be kept on leads at all times, for the protection of the herds of red and fallow deer.

Raby Estates welcomes well-behaved dogs in our Yurt Café with water bowls provided. For those really muddy four-legged friends, we have a selection of outdoor tables where you can enjoy takeaway hot and cold drinks.

For a change of scene, make sure you visit High Force Hotel and Waterfall in the stunning countryside of Upper Teesdale and situated in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Whether it’s for a stroll to the falls, Sunday lunch or an overnight stay, dogs are welcome throughout.

Please note, only assistance dogs are allowed inside the Castle.
