This summer outdoor theatre returns to Raby.

by Peter Mimmack | 2 hours 20 minutes | for ages 10+ | Start time 7pm

Don your detective cap and join Heartbreak Productions for some super silliness this summer. Their original murder mystery will set five suspects under the spotlight, and they will depend on the audience to find answers. Who was lurking in the corridor carrying a candlestick? When did the third gunshot go off – before or after the very silly song? And probably most importantly, why didn’t you pack a larger picnic?

Answers to these and other equally important questions will only be uncovered as they make Much Ado About Murder (an original murder mystery by Heartbreak Productions, performed, as are all their shows, out of doors, so check the weather, dress appropriately, and bring a picnic).

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own food & drink?
You are welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy during the event, but we ask that you please do not bring any glass into the venue. Drinks, snacks and refreshments will be available on the night.

Can I bring a dog?
Whilst dogs on lead are allowed in the Deer Park, we kindly ask that they are left at home for this event, with the exception of guide dogs.

What you’ll need to bring
We are hoping for glorious weather for our outdoor theatre. If it’s sunny (which we hope it will be!) you may wish to bring water, sunglasses, sun cream and a hat. If it’s wet – waterproof clothing and the Great British spirit will be required! Please bear in mind that it can turn colder in the evenings so remember to bring warm clothing and blankets with you. We also recommend bringing a torch with you to use when you leave.

You are welcome to bring picnic blankets and camping chairs – please be aware that guests with camping chairs may be asked to sit further back so as not to block the view of any guests sitting on the floor. We are not able to provide any seats for our screenings.

We ask that you please do not bring the following:

  • Umbrellas
  • Tables
  • Tents
  • Pop up structures
  • Gazebos
  • Parasols
  • BBQs
  • Candles or naked flames
  • Gas burners
  • Portable heaters
