High Force

High Force, County Durham

Only 18 miles away in the glorious scenery of Upper Teesdale is High Force Waterfall. High Force is one of the most impressive waterfalls in England and the largest in terms of volume of water that thunder down the 71 feet (22 m) cliff edge. Raby Estates operate the Waterfall attraction, The High Force Hotel and refreshment kiosk at this location as well as events throughout the year.

The Wrekin

The Wrekin is a beautiful, dominant feature of the Shropshire landscape, a huge hill popular with walkers who gain access delightful woodland routes on public rights of way or permissive footpaths. Rising to a height of 407 metres, the Wrekin offers striking views of the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Special Site of Scientific Interest

The Wrekin is a special place, designated as a Special Site of Scientific Interest and is part of the Shropshire Hills AONB.
