Step Back in Time: A Historic Walk in Raby Park
Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th May
Join a member of the Gardens Team for a leisurely walk to Raby Park’s historic Bath Wood.
Discover the hidden 18th-century pleasure garden and Bath House built in 1752, attributed to renowned architects James Paine and Daniel Garrett. Follow in the footsteps of the guests who once stayed at Raby Castle and were invited to ride, picnic or take a plunge in the icy waters.
This walk will explore the history of this charming, and little-known feature of the Park.
Please note bathing is no longer permitted. Sensible and sturdy footwear is recommended.
