Open Air Theatre at Raby Castle
The HandleBards Present: Much Ado About Nothing
Settle in for an unforgettable evening of open-air theatre as the brilliant HandleBards return to Raby Castle with their delightfully chaotic, bicycle-powered production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.
Set within our breathtaking grass amphitheatre – the first of its kind in the North of England – this unique venue is nestled in the East Garden, with sweeping views of the historic castle rising in the distance. A truly unforgettable backdrop for an evening of live theatre.
The HandleBards are a troupe like no other. Travelling from venue to venue on bicycles, carrying all their props, costumes, and set on two wheels, they’re on a mission to bring sustainable, high-energy theatre to audiences across the UK. Expect their signature blend of riotous amounts of energy, a fair old whack of chaos, and a great deal of laughter.
Join us for an evening of love, mischief, and mistaken identities as returning soldiers stir up romance and rivalry in Messina. With lively performances, quick changes, and plenty of laughs, this is Much Ado as you’ve never seen it before.
