It’s Competition time!
Autumn is the most beautiful time of year to see High Force Waterfall in all its colourful glory.
From the bold reds, oranges, golds and browns of the leaves to the powerful force of the waterfall plunging over the rocks to seasonal wildlife displays.
So we’d like to invite YOU to enter our photography competition for the chance to win a one-night bed and breakfast stay at The High Force Hotel, our cosy rural retreat.
Whether you’re a professional or budding amateur photographer, come and take inspiration from our wondrous walk to the falls and experience the seasonal splendour of autumn.
Terms and conditions
This photography competition will run from Tuesday 4th October until Sunday 6th November 2022. Please submit your photos via social media before the deadline and use the hashtag #HighForceAutumn for the chance to win! Photos must be taken along the Raby Estate circular route which starts from the High Force Hotel and can be of the waterfall, woodlands or any other element along the trail. Drone photography is not permitted.
The final winner will be revealed on the High Force social media on Monday 7th November 2022 and contacted to claim their prize. The winner must notify High Force of their acceptance of the prize within five working days of notification. In the event of non-response or non-acceptance within the specified time period, High Force reserves the right to reallocate the prize.
This competition is open to adults aged 18 and over. The prize of a one night bed and breakfast stay is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Your stay can be redeemed Sunday – Thursday off peak. Travel costs are not permitted in the prize and any expenditure incurred by the winner over and above the prize elements detailed, must be settled by the prize winner.
Waterfall admission is £2.50 per adult. Admission fees apply to help us maintain the footpaths and walkways and keep routes safe and open throughout the year. It also ensures our staff can clear litter and helps us to reduce our impact on the local environment by working with nature to protect sensitive wildlife.
Please note, that by submitting your photography to the High Force Hotel and Waterfall you are happy for the Raby Estates team to use your photography for print and digital marketing purposes.
