FAQ’s

What to wear?

Please dress for the Great British weather and wrap up warm for your magical walk to the waterfall. The walk to the breathtaking High Force Waterfall will be dark and may be slippery underfoot, suitable footwear would be advised. For safety reasons large bags, tripods and other bulky equipment are not permitted at the waterfall on the tour.

Mobility Concerns?

The walk down to the waterfall can be challenging for those with mobility issues, please consider this before your arrival and speak to a member of the team beforehand if you have any concerns.  Mobility scooters are unable to be used on the route at night.

What happens if there is poor visibility?

The night sky can sometimes be restricted by cloud cover or poor conditions, sadly this is just the nature of the event and these factors are beyond our control, we will, however, guarantee that you are provided with a night of fascinating and insightful information and visual displays that are unrivalled anywhere else.

Hopefully, with good conditions and no moonlight, we will be able to navigate through the night sky looking up toward the Milky Way and other deep sky objects and star clusters. Do remember to bring your camera or mobile phone for photographs.

Once the event has finished, you may wish to warm up in the High Force Hotel with a hot chocolate or something a little stronger for those who are not driving.  If you are driving home, please take extra care, especially in poor or cold conditions.
