Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Painter & Decorator to join our Maintenance team. The role plays a key part in supporting the delivery of high-quality decorating works across the Estate, working under the direction of the Decorating Supervisor. You will assist with both planned and reactive maintenance works across a wide range of residential, commercial, and heritage properties.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Undertake internal and external painting and decorating works across domestic, commercial, and heritage buildings.
- Prepare surfaces using traditional and modern methods to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Diagnose defects and carry out or recommend appropriate remedial works.
- Ensure all works comply with health and safety requirements and Estate standards.
- Work independently or as part of a team as required.
- Maintain compliance across Estate sites.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the Decorating Supervisor or Maintenance Manager.
What we are looking for
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in painting and decorating on domestic and commercial properties.
- NVQ qualification or equivalent in Painting and Decorating.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong awareness of health and safety and ability to lead by example.
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality work.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Honest, reliable, and flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
