Blow off the January blues with a healthy new year full of walking, fresh air, wildlife and the great outdoors. We will be running this fantastic offer at both High Force Waterfall and Raby Castle Deer Park.

For the team here at Raby Estates, January is a time of optimism. We love a fresh start and everything that goes with it: feeling energized after a period of rest, preparing for new rhythms and routines, and making intentions for the year ahead.

Plus, Raby looks beautiful at this time of year. Whether skies are blue or cloudy, our heritage landscapes look equally dramatic, and the sight of the Castle as the sun slips close to the horizon is wonderful to see. Spring is on its way, and the signs are everywhere – buds appearing, snowdrops pushing through and birdsong in the air.

Deer Park and Walled Garden at Raby Castle

Raby Castle’s Deer Park is set in 200 acres of lush parkland, featuring ancient trees and inspiring views of one of England’s finest medieval castles. Spot flora and fauna, wild birds, red and fallow deer grazing just a few short metres away. It’s time to lace up your boots and breathe in the fresh air – this is far from just an ordinary walk in the park.

Purchasing a deer park and walled gardens ticket from the 2nd – 31st January will grant you unlimited admission to the Deer Park throughout January Simply hold onto your ticket and present it on entry.

The Plotters’ Forest, Deer Park and Walled Gardens Tickets from the 11th January include the unlimited January offer for access into the Deer Park and Gardens for the remainder of the month. Simply hold onto your ticket and present it at the horsebox. This offer excludes The Plotters’ Forest Enchanted Christmas Trail. 

High Force Waterfall 

High Force – an iconic waterfall and a true force of nature – is more your style? Its tumbling 21-metre cascade is always awe-inspiring, but on crisp January days the gorge and surrounding woodland look even more spectacular. Our exclusive circular route is suitable for walkers of all levels and there’s a magical woodland sculpture trail to captivate young and old(er) visitors alike.

As with our Deer Park offer, any ticket purchased in January will grant you unlimited admission to the High Force route throughout January. This means a family of five can visit as many times as you like until 31st January for just over £1 per person! Just make sure to keep your ticket and show it on entry.
