Join our knowledgeable Visitor Welcome Hosts for a complimentary guided walk down to the foot of High Force Waterfall.
The whole of Upper Teesdale was glaciated and the waterfall was formed at the end of the ice age causing huge volumes of water which carved out the Tees Valley. Learn in more detail about the fascinating formation of our incredible landscape and the Whin Sill. The physical landscape has influenced the human activities that have taken place over centuries.
